B4AFC is a social enterprise incubated at Acıbadem University Incubation Center. It aims to deliver information, products, and services—arising from the physiological, psychological, and sociological changes experienced by individuals aged 65 and older—in an easy and timely manner through technological and innovative methods. The company promotes and supports the development of an Age-Friendly Culture in society, helping older adults live their later years in a quality, healthy, happy, comfortable, and dignified manner.
B2C – 4AFC:
Under the brand name “Mutlu Yaş Al” (Happy Aging), the company has established the first and only internet platform in Turkey focused on the needs of elderly individuals, offering an age-friendly information center along with marketplaces for services and products designed for individual customers.
B2B – B4AFC:
For businesses, B4AFC has developed age-friendly consultancy services, training programs, business certification processes tailored to the senior customer segment, and a Retirement Orientation Program designed for corporate retirees.
Achievements:
B4AFC has been accepted into several prestigious programs including Acıbadem University Incubation Center, Garanti BBVA Partners, HSBC Impact Entrepreneurship, and the KAGİDER Acceleration Program. It has also become a member of the European Network for Accessible Tourism.
In 2022, B4AFC was awarded first place in the Social Enterprise category of the “Promising Startups 2022” competition organized by Girişimup.
Founder Fatma Akgün was accepted into the Academy for Women Entrepreneurs, supported by the U.S. Department of State.
In 2019, she was a finalist in Turkey’s Women Entrepreneur Competition organized by Garanti BBVA, KAGİDER, and Ekonomist magazine.
B4AFC was also accepted into the Social Enterprise Istanbul: PartnerUp Acceleration Program, supported by the Istanbul Development Agency (ISTKA), and conducted in partnership with Koç University Social Impact Forum (KUSIF), Social Innovation Initiative, Vehbi Koç Foundation, and Impact Hub Istanbul. The program aims to foster sustainable collaborations between social enterprises and private sector companies in Istanbul.
